Betty Cruff Osborne

Betty Cruff Osborne age 74, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.

Betty, better known as “Granny” always had a smile on her face along with a hug for everyone whether she knew you or not. She always made it a point to let everyone know she loved them, especially her family. Family was most important to Betty and she always made sure to be at the ballgames watching her grandkids. She loved watching Kenley and Addy almost every day. Her cooking was phenomenal and it was a joy to cook for others. She also enjoyed playing rummy for hours. She will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joeseph and Mamie Sexton Cruff; sister, Joann Dowell; grandson, Logan Billings; nephew, Tarzan Dowell; best friends, Shelby Hendrickson and Linda Russell.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Tanya Parnell (Adam); son, Bobby Osborne (Lori); sister, Lorraine Wright; grandchildren, Trevor, Justin, Cameron, Shalyn, and Gavin Billings, Caleb, Reid, and Macy Osborne, Olivia and Owen Parnell, Hayley Keck and Isaac Wagner; great-grandchildren, Addy Billings and Kenley Shearl; nieces and nephews, Jackie, Larry, and Mona Dowell; Missy Wright Baker; several great nieces and nephews; special friend and neighbor, Ann Pierce.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Wassum Cemetery,  5570 Lee Hwy, Atkins, VA 24311 with Reverend John Graham officiating.
