Bernard Cressell

MARION, VIRGINIA: BERNARD WILLIAM CRESSELL, age 75, died Saturday, April 10, 2004 in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a member of Fox Creek Baptist Church for nearly 40 years and was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Lillie Stowers Cressel; three sisters, Mary Hall, Lynn Taylor, and Lucille Matthias; and two brothers, Arthur Cressel and Jim Cressel. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Lovelace Cressell of Marion, Virginia. One daughter, Mary Maynard of Crestview, Florida. One son, Edward Cressel of Bristol, Tennessee. Four sisters, Hazel Archambault of Front Royal, Virginia; Ruby Thomas of Alabama; Roxie Hubble of Florida; and Donna Lanham of Rural Retreat, Virginia. One brother, Hobert Cressell of Dillwyn, Virginia. Three grandchildren, one step-grandchild, two great-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild. Special friends, Gordon and Fannie Poe, Dean Sanders, Dave Thomas, and Dottie Hicks also survive. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 12, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Bluford Eldreth and Rev. Dean Sheperd officiating. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Gardens, Atkins, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel
