SUGAR GROVE, Va.

Alta Currin Sitton Balow age 83, passed away January 21, 2018 at her home in Menifee, CA.

Born in Sugar Grove, VA, Alta was the beloved wife of Irving Balow and loving mother and stepmother of Robert Sitton, Rebecca (Sitton) Wardlow, Mary (Balow) Golden, Thomas Balow, Michael Balow, Robert Balow (deceased), and Ann (Balow) Schinas. Grandmother of Michael Robert Sitton, Mackenzie Wardlow, Greg Balow, Sara Golden, Patrick Golden, and Jordan Schinas. Alta is also survived by her bother Rector Currin and sister-in-law Linda Currin of Sugar Grove.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers gifts may be made to the Sugar Grove Rescue Squad, c/o Carol Choate, P.O. Box 108, Sugar Grove, VA 24375 in Alta’s memory.
