DECATUR AL: VIRGINIA ATKINS McCRICKARD, age 86, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at River City Center, Decatur, Al. She was born June 17, 1929 to the late P. W. Atkins and Lucille Putney Atkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas L. McCrickard, Jr. and son, David W. McCrickard. Virginia is survived by two sons, Thomas L. McCrickard, III and wife, Susan of Vienna, Va. and Matthew P. McCrickard and wife, Bonnie of Huntsville, Al.; granddaughters, Lindsey McCrickard and Morgan McCrickard. Family graveside services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Va. with the Reverend Bonnie Mixon McCrickard officiating.
