MARION, VIRGINIA: SHERMAN LOUTHEN, age 87, went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Virginia. Sherman was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Baker, and brothers, Tony Louthen, Nacy Louthen and William "Bill" Louthen. He is survived by three sisters, Vada Kirby, Bobbie Mabe and Katie Louthen all of Marion, Va.; and one brother, Campbell Louthen and wife, Hazel of Bristol, Tenn. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Emmit Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until time of the service. Graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post # 4667.
