Patrick K. Hash

ATKINS, Va.: PATRICK “PAT” K. HASH, age 59, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va. Pat worked with Royal Mouldings for 36 years. He was a wonderful son, brother and husband. He was the SCA Class President of the MSHS Class of 1974. Pat graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Agriculture. He loved to farm, fish, golf, to be at the beach, NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt. But his most favorite place to be was on his farm or at the house with his babies, Lacy, Bayja, Talley and Fala – his dogs; and his cats, Sky and Moonie. Pat could be found every year ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, and on main street cooking chili. He always enjoyed apple butter making with his family. It was people, mostly family and friends that Pat enjoyed. There are not many people that did not know him or that Pat did not know. Pat Hash will be a missed man by many. He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas K. Hash; father, Charles V. Hash; and step-grandmother, Virginia M. Williams. Pat is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Tammy S. Hash of Atkins, Va.; mother, Jean W. Hash of Atkins, Va., Barbara J. Moore and husband, Dicky of Gloucester, Va.; brothers, Doug Hash and wife, Vicky of Atkins, Va. and Bobby Hash of Richmond, Va.; several nieces, nephews and many family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Harry Howe officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Davis Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 389, Atkins, Va. 24311. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory is honored to serve the Hash Family. (276) 783-7107

Tim remembers riding on the side of the tractor when Pat mowed the hill for the Comers (where we now live). Pat was known and loved by so so many. Atkins will never be quite the same. Our condolences to the entire Hash family.

My brother, Tommie Widener, Jr. went to school with Pat and we would sit and he would tell me stories of their high school days. I worked with Pat and he was such a great person and he is the one who told me how I should have my 401k set up, so I guess a friend and a financial advisor. He will be missed by so many. Praying for God to give you all strength and guidance in the days ahead. The memories we have will be precious ones. God bless!!
