Lois Sage Robinson
Lois Sage Robinson, age 95, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Valley Health Care Center, Chilhowie, Va.
Lois was a selfless and soft-spoken lady, “what you saw is what you got.” She was extremely family oriented and though she had no children of her own, Lois was a parent to all. Her greatest true passion in life was being with the love of her life, Richard. Lois is known for her exceptional cooking, especially her homemade ketchup. There wasn’t a meal she made that you didn’t clean your plate off. Being with her made you feel like a kid again. Her encouraging way, and loving personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Conley Robinson; parents, Ernest and Geneva Sage; sisters, Maude Clyburn, Lorina Hackler; brother, Junior Sage; sisters-in-law, Betty Ann Slemp, Eleanor Martin and husband, Don and Clara Jen Robinson; brothers-in-law, Dempy Robinson and wife, Margaret, and Johnny Robinson; nephew, Charlie Robinson; niece, Linda Hastings.
Lois is survived by her sisters, Nina Blessing of Wytheville, Va., Clara Hodge, Lauretta Smith and husband, June; brother, James Porter Sage all of Rural Retreat, Va.; sisters-in-law, Thelma Kate Mathena and husband, Don of Marion Va., and Nancy Byrd Robinson of Roanoke, Va.; brothers-in-law, Walter R. “Pete” Robinson of Salem, Va., and Harold Slemp of Marion, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Gladys Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Mr. Denton Staley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery.

She was the most sweetest person. Me and dad always would go see her when he came to town. She always loved our family reunions and seeing her family. She will be greatly missed by all. Lori (Hackler) Rhodes
