MARION, Va.

Kevin Carl Soos, age 62, died, Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home in Marion, Va.

For over 30 years radio listeners in Smyth County heard the familiar voice of Kevin Soos on WOLD. Kevin was the kindest, most gentle man and his intelligence was astounding. Kevin was a proud Mensa Club member and a part of the Marion Jaycees. The last nine years of his life were spent loving his two cats, Ace and Baby, with his best friend and soulmate, Lynn. Other than his faith, his family was the light of his life. 

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Eileen Soos.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Soos of Marion, Va.; sister, Joyce Kight and husband, Ken of Kuyahoga Falls, Ohio; brother, Jim Soos of Moultrie, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Mr. Howard Burton, Mr. Darren Starkey and the Reverend Alan Gray officiating.
