Josephine Blevins Crouse

MARION, Va.: JOSEPHINE “GEE” BLEVINS CROUSE, age 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at her residence. Gee was born May 9, 1925 in Smyth County, Va to the late Charles M. and Caroline Brooks Blevins. She loved to work in her flowers and gardening was certainly a passion to her. Gee enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. She will be most remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Thelma Eblen and Stella Severt; brothers, Paul Blevins, Their Blevins and Fields Blevins; and son-in-law, Raymond E. Chase. Gee is survived by her daughter, Sharon E. Chase of Marion, Va.; grandchildren, Daniel Chase and wife Julie, of Weyers Cave, Va. and Raena Bright and husband Jeff of Marion, Va.; great-grandson, Hunter Bright of Marion, Va.; brother, George W. Blevins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Mark Blevins officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Cleghorn Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Chilhowie, Va. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
