James "Jim" Cox, Jr., age 58, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.
If you were looking for a story – that would take forever to tell – Jim Cox was your man. Jim is survived by his love, Diann of Wytheville, Va.; step-sons, Kelly Meadows and wife, Jennifer of Eagle Rock, Va., and Chris Meadows and wife, Kristin of Bland, Va.; sister, Wynn Fair and husband, Mike of Jonesboro, Tenn.; brother, Tim Cox of Marion, Va.; grandsons, Hunter and Johnathon Meadows and step-grandson, Hunter Wilson; niece, Callee Cox; nephew, McCloud Cox; and many friends.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. When someone we love dies, its natural to want to see that person again. God promises us that He will comfort us in our trials if we go to him in prayer. 2 Corinthians 1:3 calls him the God of all comfort. Id like to share with yall this link that shows 12 steps on coping with grief that is good for sharing. I have personally found this very comforting and I hope yall do as well. https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&docid=102018086&srcid=share

I hadn't known Jim for too long, but as all of you know to know Jim was to like Jim. We always joked with each other, and always looked forward to working with him. I will miss Jim a great deal.
