Christopher "Moe" Langston

MARION, Va.

Chris “Moe” Langston, age 45, died, August 5, 2018 at Francis Marion Manor in Marion, Va.

How do you put Moe into words? If you were looking for a good time and a load of crazy, you would find Chris Langston and a ton of friends. Everyone knew Moe to be mischievous and fun, but his heart was made of pure gold. His boys were the joy of his life. He loved his family and enjoyed his time camping, fishing, squirrel hunting, riding ATV’s and watching his sons play football. He was absolutely loyal to his family. He loved his country and proudly served in the United States Marines. Moe wasn’t perfect, but none of us are. His love and loyalty to his God, family, friends, country and English bull dogs was perfect. The stillness and quiet is noticed and Moe is missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Cordia Bear.

Moe is survived by his sons, Jacob Langston and special friend, Skylar Shupe and Chance Langston; mother, Becky “Twinki” Langston; sister, Kim Langston and husband, Dennis Parnell; and brother, Ben Langston all of Marion, Va.; nieces and nephews, Kai, DeNae, Slate, Braxton, Logan and Brooke; several cousins, tons of friends and special friends, Brian Burkett, Allison and Willie Carter, and Taloni “Paige” Dalton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Blake Frazier and Mark Hoffman officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by United States Marine Corp and Francis Marion VFW Post # 4667. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marion Senior High School Wrestling Club, 848 Stage Street, Marion, Va., 24354.

Many thanks to the staff at Francis Marion Manor especially Shannon Woods and Tony Schavier.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory is honored to serve the family of Christopher Langston.

Chris, it's not the same at FMM without you--it doesn't even seem real that you are gone. Everyone misses you so much, you were the life of this place! I have so many memories of you that I'll always remember...your family at FMM misses you very much. We'll meet again, my friend!

I am so sorry for your loss. In my mind he will always be the guy who made us all laugh in high-school. He was a great guy!

Chris! What a loss! I love the way your family wrote your obituary...they told it like it was! You were who you were and you owned up to it every single day! You were an open book and even wanted to get involved in going to schools to tell kids "look at me...look at what I've done...DON'T DO IT!" You were a huge part of the family here at FMM. You made a difference in so many lives including team members and other residents. You visited and talked to some who may have been yelling out or confusion was ruling their actions and mind. You held their hand, you talked to them, you sang to them, you made a difference. God put you here for a reason buddy and I'm sure he's beginning to tell you why right now! We all miss you and we are so happy to know that we'll be talking to you again and that you will be running, not walking, around heaven. And yep, if anybody can find mischief in heaven I know you'll find it! You'll do your darndest to assure everyone is having fun. We love and miss you friend!
