We extend an invitation to our friends and the Smyth County families we have known and served for over a century, to drop in and see our establishment. Our building is modern in detail, reflecting an atmosphere of quiet dignity, warmth and refinement. The main chapel which features a large stain glass window will seat over 300 people, has an organ and piano, a sound system to accommodate any type of pre-recorded music and a system for the hearing impaired. A family room is just off to the side for those who want a little more privacy. Our casket selection room offers a wide choice of caskets and burial vaults to fit everyone's needs as well as an urn selection area for those who select cremation. Some of our families choose to use the "original" chapel for receiving of friends, or they may use the Gold Room which offers a more home like setting. The funeral home also offers a Lounge with coffee, cold drinks, and snack foods as well as a children's play room. Our offices have computer capabilities enabling us to better assist our families in filing for Social Security and Veterans benefits, railroad retirement, life insurance claims and other benefits due families after a death occurs. We are also well versed in aiding families with pre-planning when a family member is entering a nursing or assisted living facility when they have to qualify for Medicaid benefits. We are proud of Seaver-Brown Funeral Service, not for what it represents in brick and stone, and all the furnishings, but for what it represents in the confidence, friendship and faith the people of Smyth County and the surrounding area have placed in us during the most difficult times of their lives.
